Exchange traded options have\u00a0 standardized contracts, and are settled through a clearing house with fulfillment guaranteed by the credit of the exchange. Exchange traded options include:<br \/>\no stock options,<br \/>\no commodity options,<br \/>\no bond options and other interest rate options<br \/>\no stock market index options or, simply, index options and<br \/>\no options on futures contracts<\/p>\n<p><strong>Over-the-counter options <\/strong> are traded between two private parties, and are not listed on an exchange. The terms of an OTC option are unrestricted and may be individually tailored to meet any business need.
