Listed Company
A company which has a listing agreement with a stock exchange and whose shares are quoted at the exchange.In short, A company whose stock trades are on a major stock exchange such as the New York Stock Exchange, American Stock Exchange, or the NASDAQ stock market. In order to be listed, a company has to meet stringent financial and performance requirements.
Listed Shares
these are the Shares of companies which are registered by a stock exchange for trading on its floor. They have a quotation on the official list of the stock exchange. Listed shares have the following advantages: (1) They are traded in the stock exchange, which is a fair market place. (2) They are liquid. (3) The price is determined fairly. (4) There is continuous reporting of their prices. (5) Full information is available on the companies. (6) There are strict regulations for the protection of those how buy and sell shares on the stock exchange.
Locked In
Shares which cannot yet be sold because the condition of offer stipulates that the share should be held by the allottee for a minimum period, which is usually of three years. Locked in shares are often devalued by market cycles.
Locked Market
it is a highly competitive stock market situation in which the bid and ask prices of a share are exactly the same. The market is unlocked when more buyers or sellers appear on the scene.
Long Buy
A term used by the National Stock Exchange which means buying shares without the intention of taking the physical delivery of them in the same settlement and in the same stock exchange, unless it is for squaring up earlier short sale position in the same stock exchange.
Long Coupon
long coupon is a bond whose first payment of interest is made after a longer period than subsequent periods. In such cases the interest rates are usually higher than usual.
Long Position
Holding of securities in the expectation of a price rise in the future, when a sale will realize profit.
Long Term
In the context of holding period of investments or market trends, long term means a period of one year or more,

Layered Premia
An increasingly popular method of re-structuring a public issue in which different rates of premium are charged from different classes of investors. one is a floor rate, i.e. a minimum premium which to usually payable by members of the company, while a higher premium is payable by members of the public who are subscribing to the issue for the first time. There may again be different premium for promoters and foreign collaborators. The justification for layered premium is not maximization of the company’s gain ( but considerations of fair play and reward.
